See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Anne from Brooklyn, NY Number of programs attended: 10

If you love the theater, this is a great choice. And the Ringling Museum is marvelous. Add warm weather in the middle of an awful winter and you can't miss.

This program greatly enhances the experience of attending plays. A fine instructor discusses the art of acting, prepares you for the plays you are going to see, and leads a fun talk back afterwards.

This was my first-ever Road Scholar experience and I was a little nervous, being a single person. I needn't have been--we were a small group of 16, with other singles to visit with. The group I was with were intelligent, had a sense of humor, discerning minds, and engaged in energetic critiques of the three plays we saw. I love theater and the trips to Asolo, onstage and behind the scenes more than met my expectations. Our schedule kept us busy at all times and was chockfull of entertainment, information, and food, food, food! I can hardly wait to do another trip! Barb Bayley Asolo Theatre Program 02/08-02/13/15.

Lucille from Ames, IA Number of programs attended: 10

The Asolo Theatre Program was excellent. I learned so much about theatre from the best of the best and actually got to see 3 productions in the amazing Asolo. Sarasota has phenomenally fine center of culture.

For anyone interested in theater, this program presents a lively, fascinating introduction to all the mystery and excitement that theater represents.

Kitty from Naples, FL Number of programs attended: 5
Date attended: 02/22/14 - 02/27/14
For anyone who enjoys the theater, this program was a delight. The plays were diverse, the theaters very nice, the lecturers excellent, the other participants pleasant and interesting. A very good value for the money.

Esther from Philadelphia, PA Number of programs attended: 4
Date attended: 02/22/14 - 02/27/14
This program was very informative and interesting. I learned a lot about the theater I did not know.

Laura from New York, NY Number of programs attended: 12
Date attended: 01/19/14 - 01/24/14
This is a wonderful program for anyone interested in learning about all aspects of the theatrical world. The classroom instruction is extensive and outstanding, however other than a one day trip to the Ringling Museum, there are few outdoor activities. Since the program was in Florida, I would have preferred less classroom time and more exploring Sarasota.
