This is a fun trip to see Arizona countryside by rail.

A very comfortable experience of the Wild West. Not too strenuous but full of interest.

It was nice trip and a good introduction to a wonderful area of Northern Arizona. The Verde Valley and Canyon Train trip was best of the two train trips--so much fun with lots to see and discover. The Grand Canyon was spectacular! We learned so much about how our earth has evolved from the Geologist's talk the day prior--that was splendid.

It was a nice trip and an opportunity to ride the rails and hike some trails around Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Not too strenuous, but each day was packed with experiences. If you are looking for a fast paced and challenging hiking adventure, this is not your trip. But, if you are looking for a nice introduction to the history and geology of the region, it is a nice and interesting program.

This was my first Road Scholar trip and I loved it! Sedona and Grand Canyon area is so beautiful it's beyond words. You have to see it! Our group leader, Garrett Roberts, was very knowledgeable about every place we went including geology, flora/fauna. Garrett was very gracious and fun to be with. Dr. Stan Beus gave a lecture about the geology of the Colorado Plateau and Grand Canyon that was fascinating. Also my very first group trip and I'm ready to go again!

First time Road Scholar - it was a great first program to pick! Beautiful scenery from the top of the Grand Canyon to the gorgeous red rocks of Sedona that draw you in and make you never want to leave - or is that the vortex drawing you in? Of course you can't forget the great train rides from along the Verde River or the fantastic ride to the top of the Grand Canyon - what's not to love!!

Excellent program for those who enjoy trains in a very scenic part of the United States. It is a very good introduction to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Outstanding group leader and other educational content.

This was our first road scholar trip but it won't be our last. What a wonderful way to see parts of Arizona that we would have missed on our own. The group was fun. The leader Garrett was knowledgable, easy to work with, and organized. This was an effortless way to travel, for sure. The accommodations and food were better than we expected for a "group" event. I can't say enough good things about the whole experience. And the bus driver even went back to the bus to retrieve rain gear from baggage already stowed for transport which I thought was over and above.

What an easy, well organized way to see so much incredible beauty... with diverse experiences, good lectures & presentations and a comfortable pace. Accommodations and food are simple and fine.

Being in Sedona and at the Grand Canyon was a great experience. Garrett Roberts was a delightful and entertaining leader with great people skills. Our group was full of interesting and enjoyable conversationalists. We enjoyed both the people and the sightseeing! Sandy

My first Road Scholar trip and it was well organized, excellent lectures, speakers & guide with wonderful meals. Plus the weather was beautiful. Second trip to Grand Canyon but one I will certainly remember. The train trip in was quite entertaining. Garrett added much information and kept in touch with us with humor. We extended our stay at Super 8 and enjoyed a lot more in Flagstaff with family.

Even if you have visited the Grand Canyon before, it is worth attending again so see and experience the location one more time.
