I enjoyed being NYC and seeing the homes, and the people were friendly. The bus rides were too long.

We were looking for a relaxing vacation, yet with interesting things to do and see. This was perfect. No pressure, no scurrying about, a good overview of this part of the country.

This trip surprised me in how fascinating I found the tours of the mansions and homes. I did not fully anticipate what we would see and learn and I was glad to be informed about the lifestyle of that region and the amazing mansions that are sprinkled throughout. It is a rare glimpse into that Gilded Age. Traveling the beautiful country side and riding through the charming little towns was a bonus and our trips into NYC were such a treat. A very, very nice way to spend a pre-Xmas week. Our hosts at the cozy Warwick Convention Center were lovely beyond description.

Overall, I think it was a great deal, but the long rides were tiring. The food, wasn't the best--the salmon was dry, noodles were cold, options were very limited. Being in NYC was great! Performances were great! Met very nice people.

A wonderful way to get into the Spirit of Christmas. Seeing the old, enjoying New York City and meeting new people.

Agree completely with Jodi and Alia. Also there IS NOT wifi in every room as advertised in all literature.

The Warwick conf. Center is a very spartan church affiliated housing option that has been used by Road Scholar for years because, I would assume, of its low cost. Two hours outside NYC is ridiculous. The estates along the Hudson are 1 ½ hours away. Surely there is an option more comfortable, with better food, closer to the places being visited. The extra cost would be worth it.

I don't normally review programs but I'm making an exception on this one. In order to get to the "mansions" or Manhattan you must sit in a bus for almost two hours each way. In my opinion there was only one mansion all the rest were large homes. The program staff members (two young men) leave lot to be desired unless you enjoy being treated as a school age children.

Wonderful program, but exceasive travel time.
