ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I really enjoyed this program. It definitely exceeded my expectations. As a person with a mobility disability, I was worried. But, everyone made me feel welcome. The activities were always interesting and often fun. The hotel was excellent and most of the meals were delicious. All in all, a great trip.

The Christmas Week on Jekyll Island was a perfect getaway for anyone wanting to change their old-familiar routine and try something new. Everything about the week was first-rate. The location off the GA coast, the charm of the hotel, the delicious food, the history talks, the visit to St. Simons Island, and the hilarious time spent by all constructing their gingerbread houses! Christmas Day brunch at the lovely cottage (a replica of an Italian villa!) was spectacularly presented and an epicurean delight! Everyone was warm and friendly and the instructors were excellent in the Road Scholar tradition. A Christmas week without any stress whatsoever. I don't know if the stay-at-home Christmas folks could say the same? Loretta, Harbor Springs, MI

It was like going back in time to the old South. It was beautiful and serene and the food was absolutely fantastic (although there was too much of it). What a terrific way to spend Christmas.

Jekyll Island and the hotel are beautiful. The hotel decorations and the Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Brunch were wonderful. The tours and lectures were informative. Making the gingerbread houses exceeded my expectations. The trip made the holiday season a memorable one.

Susan from Winter Park, FL Number of programs attended: 2

What a fabulous experience. I was tired of spending Christmas Days alone and stepped out in faith that sharing it with total stingers would be better and it was. It was not only a wonderful learning experience but the setting was elegant and the food outrageously decadent. I could not have asked for a better holiday experience.

Salpi from Johns Creek, GA Number of programs attended: 1

If you would like a 'magical' getaway over the Christmas Holidays, choose the Jekyll Island trip. The Jeklyy Island Club Hotel is magnificently decorated. The staff is immensely friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. This experience is a marvelous way to experience the true 'magic' of the Holidays (and escape the stress).
