This was an amazingly orchestrated trip with so many deftly managed details. The Grand Tetons were a spectacular backdrop to loads of great adventures. What perfect scenery for snow shoeing and XC skiing. The dog sledding was the highlight of course, something I hadn't even realized was on my bucket list until I did it and wowee!! All the staff were amazingly organized, knowledgeable and accommodating. Kudos especially to Tanya Anderson and Katie, our team leader who for someone so young was a true leader and adventurer!! The program was packed with so many interesting, fun and exciting details, the food was good, and there was enough free time to sample the town of Jackson. This was a trip to remember!!

the Great Winter Get Together in the Tetons was perfectly designed to give participants the opportunity to enjoy outdoor winter activities in the beautiful Grand Teton N.P. region. The Teton Science School staff couldn't have been more accommodating to the Road Scholars. Their knowledge, patience, friendliness, and experience made for days of fun, exercise, learning, camaraderie, and appreciation for a particularly scenic area of the U.S. A first Class Program!

What a fabulous program! From the time we arrived until the time we left, we were busy with excellent lectures and adventures. Snow shoeing at the foot of the Grand Tetons, cross-country skiing through three inches of fresh powder, dog-sledding through a pristine wildnerness to soak in a hot springs before eating a hot lunch! We learned about wolves and grizzlies, snow science, elk migration and the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. The food at the Teton Science Center was terrific--the staff outstanding. I added a daylong trip via snow coach to Yellowstone. One of the best trips I've ever taken. Highly recommended.

Start with the grandeur of the Tetons. Add a blanket of gleaming snow. Hundreds of elk populate the reserve on the valley floor. That's just the stage. Add the remarkable Teton Science School staff and dog sledding and you have a unique, wonderful adventure. Tanya Anderson, so much more than a congenial m.c., smoothly orchestrated the entire program. Group leaders directly led the way, maybe the finest assembly of people since the Mercury astronauts. It was not easy to execute the ambitious program but they had a penchant for anticipating problems and questions and having solutions and answers ready. They are extremely AGILE and adaptable! My group leader Katie was simply ideal: intelligent, energetic, knowledgeable, articulate and [insert YOUR favorite superlative]. My group at times was teamed with the one led by Allison, who was equally adept. ALL team leaders patiently taught and tutored snowshoeing and cross- country skiing. They even drove the vehicles carefully! If you like winter, this is for you!

The Grand Tetons Road Scholar Get-together enabled me to fulfilled several dreams. I wanted to see the Grand Tetons in winter and to enjoy winter sports for the first time. What a thrill it was to view these majestic mountains while snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and dog sledding. It was a dream vacation!! Linda W.

What a great week we had! The staff (particularly Tanya and Allison) couldn't have been better - very knowledgeable, able to judge the skill sets of the group and accommodating. The TSS rooms were great, the information presented was relevant and the opportunity to see the local wildlife was beyond description. I'm not sure how such a quality program was presented for the price that we paid!
