From riding up and down the sand dunes to racing and spinning the Rogue River, this trip was full of adventure, fun and learning the geology and wildlife of coastal Oregon. A trip to enjoy and appreciate "America the Beautiful."

This program was not only wonderfully educational but also great fun. Six friends and I traveled to the west coast from Massachusetts to see the Oregon coast and it was far more beautiful and diverse than we had expected. Our leaders Carol and Lynn Unser provided us with the background knowledge to fully enjoy all that the Oregon coast had to offer. Highlights of the trip were the dune buggy ride on the largest coastal sand dunes in the western hemisphere and a jet boat ride on the Rogue River where we saw several bald eagles in the wild. All activities were well-organized, interesting, and in keeping with the coastal theme.

We thought this trip was a real bargain! Doing the things we would do on our own, three meals a day, what a deal. However, we didn't have as much after dinner learning as in previous trips. The speakers we had were great, but fewer of them.

We absolutely loved this trip. The beauty of the Oregon coast is awe inspiring. Riding in a dune buggy in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation area was the greatest fun. The 65 mile trip on the Rogue River cannot be topped for adventure and wild life sightings. I would highly recommend this trip.
