I absolutely loved this program! Dr. Cusic's lectures on the History of Country Music were funny, informative and entertaining! He would tell us about an artist, play part of the artist's song, and then tell how it fit into the cultural or political atmosphere of the day. It was such a nostalgic trip down memory lane to hear many of the songs from my childhood. These lectures then made the field trips to the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium even more meaningful. Be prepared to feast on some really good barbecue!!!

The history of country music was fascinating. I can recognize the trends now when I hear them. Fun and educational

Great teacher -- Don Cusic. Great entertainment and fun Country and Western venues. But a long first day: 8:30 am to 11 pm with only respite being 3 to 4 hours of "free time" at a shopping center/resort hotel complex.

My recent Road Scholar trip to Nashville was truly enjoyable; including such famous events as the Grand Ole Opry Radio Show, the General Jackson Cruise with live entertainment and wonderful food. We hit all the high spots in a short period of time without feeling rushed. Wilma Fleming

What a fun and informative trip this was! I wish I had started attending these programs sooner if this program is an indication of what to expect. What a privilege to have Dr. Don Cusic as our instructor! He is amazing! Thanks to my fellow travelers for making me as a first-time Road Scholar, solo-traveler feel welcome. Great group, memorable and most positive experience.
