The program was outstanding . You will come away feeling that the many Moai scattered over the island take you back 500 years since they were created. The statues are very much "alive" today !

This was a fantastic experience on the "tiny" island of Rapa Nui. We learned much, and of the plight of the indigenous islanders. The archaeological sites (Moai, Ahus) were amazing. The week-long immersion was wonderful.

2/23/15-3/4/15 Wonderful trip. The culture, history and statues are worth every minute of the long journey to get there. Educator Sergio Rapu is a treasure. Wonderfully removed from life in the USA & relaxing. Lovely weather with sunshine every day. Hotel O'tai was comfortable.

I enjoyed my trip to see Easter Island - the beauty of the water, the land, and the moai was breathtaking. The education on the culture and history was fascinating.

Our Easter Island experience was unforgettable. We were familiarized with Rapa Nui history and culture, and saw many of the mesmerizing moai (statues) and learned their story.

I found this trip to be a major disappointment. Easter Island was fascinating but the programme was a far cry from what I understood RoadScholat standards to be and what I have experienced in other trips with the company. Not sure I will do more with RoadScholar unless I can find clear information about who is actually organizing the trip and programme.

Yes, I agree with Steven. It was my third Road Scholar trip and was just wonderful. Some activities were a little bit more challenging, but the challenges and long trip were well worth it. The festival activities were great and plentiful. Seeing the Moai in documentaries cannot compare to seeing them in person. Do go a few days early to Santiago as there are many interesting things to do and see there, and this trip only had a l/2 day local tour. I spent 3 days there ahead of time and could have stayed even longer to enjoy the City. Having Sergio Rapu as our guide was an added bonus. Tour guide Debbie was bubbly and lovely.

Going to Easter Island, aka Rapa Nui, would be an eye-opening experience for most anyone and worth all the time it takes to get there. It seems to be a microcosm for addressing many of the problems that challenge the world today. Best of all would be to go when they have the end of year annual cultural festival in late January.

This was one of the best Road Scholar programs I have attended, Our guide, Christian, was very knowledgeable, accomodating and quite a pleasure to be with. I learned a lot, and thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The food at the hotel was excellent, I give it 4 stars.

The Rapa Nui (Easter Island) program was an awesome experience! This is one of the most informative, in-depth, thorough programs I've participated in. The background and teaching skills of the Group Leader were excellent. I loved having "class" and then going to the different sites each day to see the moai and learn more about the site, customs, culture, history, etc. The hotel "lodge" was comfortable, and I loved having fresh fruits, veggies and fish daily. An overall great experience. Alice Smith in Atlanta

The original handout by Elana , our program for the tour, was excellent and extremely informative. It was so much a part of the experience I forgot about it in the following evaluation. S.Gott
