This trip exposes you to new sensations thru architecture, beautiful landscapes, historical venues and the beauty of this area which you would expect to see. The days are very full with activities. We went to several venues each day and welcomed our return to the hotel in the late afternoons to rest and relax.

The tours throughout the Hudson River Valley were very interesting, particularly the FDR Museum & their homes. Also Boscobel and Olana, the home of Frederic Church offered breath-taking views of the Hudson River. The stay at Red Lion Inn was absolute perfection and the tour of the "Mount", the home of Edith Wharton, was fabulous. The home AND the gardens are unbelievable. The tour began Sept. 21 and therefore it was about 2-3 weeks prior to peak Fall colors, but we did have "some" beautiful color in Massachusetts. The landscape was still very beautiful though throughout the Hudson river valley. I learned a lot about an area of New York I had never visited before.
