ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This program gives an excellent, comprehensive overview of both Pittsburgh today and its history going back to the 1700s. You'll come away with an entirely different perspective if you think of Pittsburgh as a smoky and dirty industrial city. The group leader, Woody Cunningham, has an amazing breadth of knowledge that he imparts in a most enjoyable manner.

Pittsburgh is No Longer an "Ugly Industrial City". Pittsburgh is a Lovely, Cultural and Diverse City with Numerous Excellent Museums, a Fascinating History and Great Institutions of Higher Learning. Ginger Talbot

An interesting, enlightening experience in a city that is too often under-rated. Fine program!

the Pittsburgh I never knew is now the Pittsburgh I found fascinating and would revisit to see more of it. this program has something for everyone from flower conservatory to home tours, museums and steel mill tours. free time was spent at PNC park to watch the Pirates play the Brewers. I would call the guide, Mr Pittsburgh, and a more educational and enjoyable host you could not find. nancy from Michigan (note: cheaper parking, half price, one block from Garden Hilton)

Judith from Alexandria, VA Number of programs attended: 24
Date attended: 10/14/12 - 10/19/12
Pittsburgh's second source of revenue is tourism, and I can see why: 1) everyone was very service-oriented and friendly (in hotel, restaurants, sites); 2) the City abounds in interesting sites, esp in the transformation from the steel industry to today's city of medical and educational complexes. My suggestions for RS to design and offer a second tour are listed on my evaluation. I really thought Woody was one of the best group leaders I have had on my twenty-two RS programs, and I am a very demanding and very experienced traveler.
