We did so much and learned so much about wolves and raptors on this trip. We learned how they hunt, their adaptations and how important they are to our ecosystem along with learning some species of these fine and wondrous birds are becoming endangered. This wonderful trip began at the Audubon Center of the North Woods in Sandstone, MN. This large tract of land was donated to the National Audubon Society. The center is a national leader in environmental education and works with all ages and audiences to create leaders in the environmental field and to instill a connection and commitment to the environment where all people live in balance with the Earth. It is a beautiful, pristine, quiet and healthy facility and setting. It was an eventful, educational and informative trip. Our leaders, Kate Crowley and Mike Link were outstanding and very passionate about their work, dedicated to making this trip one of the best we have taken.

This program was very informative, I never knew there was so much to see in Minnesota. The Audubon North Woods was a little more rustic than I had imagined. Beds were for the hearty with good backs. Our coordinator Kate was very flexible and worked hard to make sure we got to do everything we were promised and then some. The Hinkley Fire Museum was one of the saddest parts of my trip. The in house movie was almost more than I could bear to watch. What an unknown tragedy unfolded. I loved wading in Lake Superior-- boy that's cold. The Ojibwe Indian Museum "Four Seasons Room' was very educational, unexpected and inspiring place. For a new learning experience enjoy this tour, just bring along a healthy back. B.Mccomb

Great program. We were treated to everything mentioned in the literature. We went, mainly, for the Loons. Our experience with the Loons at Bay Lake greatly exceeded our expectations. Our host, Kate, and guide, Mike, were the best. Lecture presenters (Native Americans, Loons, wolves, Complete Circle Lake Superior) were all interesting and knowledgeable. The scenery was beautiful.

After completing my feedback, I realized that there was NO mention of the main leader, Mike Link. If anyone made this program function it was Mike with his extensive background and knowledge. You might want to include him along with his wife, Kate. RBMoreau

A taste of northern Minnesota exploring the history, the wildlife, and how they have interacted over the years. Emphasis includes the native Americans, the French Canadians explorers, the wildlife (especially the wolves), the birds, and the geology and how it influenced the way the land has been and is being used.

Excellent program and I would highly recommend it.

Do not expect a great deal on bird migration. Some general information was given. I was expecting something more toward the research of migration.
