The Adirondacks are beautiful, Sagamore is bizarrely wonderful, the leaders are among the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic of any Road Scholar program I've been on, and there's more to do and see than there's time for. I wish I'd chosen the longer program, and I hope to return for it. Things to take that they don't tell you about: Small pocket flashlight to take to dinner (it's very dark, and the evening programs are in a different building from the dining room); soap (their's is homemade and charming but tiny); towel(s) if you're particular about size or quality; Kleenexes.

This is a fascinating, educational program that informs about an interesting era in our history. Highly recommended.
