This was the second time for me since I took the granddaughter last year. This year a grandson. Great time with them. Yet they had lots of time to be with the other kids while we old folks watched from the river banks in the late afternoons. The heat, sand, water in the face were all part of a fun week. The meals the crew put together especially impressed the teenager grandson. He thought it would be a week of burgers and hot dogs. I loved the Dutch Oven sweet rolls and Taco Pie. My hat is off to a very fine guide company.

This trip was fantastic. I can't imagine a better time, especially for kids who love to be in the water. It was challenging but safe. Happy kids make grandparents happy, too. I loved how much free time we had to relax while the kids were so active with their own fun and games. It was a real bonding experience for all. Our guides were superb.

If you and your grandchild like the outdoors, and can handle camping - this is an outstanding trip! My third intergenerational outing, and my granddaughter and I had the best mutual experience that we could imagine. The best bargain one could find, and I have had a number of whitewater/canoe/sea kayaking experiences. The best of my three Road Scholar intergenerational experiences.

If you want an exciting trip down a white water river and a chance to spend time with an older grand child, this is it. Beautiful country, good guides and good food.
