15 Days | 14 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I can't think of a better way to learn about a wonderful part of the world. Great tour guide (Gail) and very knowledgable local instructors.

Great program. Knowledgeable local briefers made this a memorable learning experience. If you want to know about "down east" of Maine(& eat lots of lobster rolls), the Canadian maritimes and the history of this historical rich area this is the trip for you!

This trip covers over 2,000 miles in two weeks but the days flow by smoothly. We were all sad to see it end. Gail Thomas provided excellent leadership and many tidbits of information as the bus rolled along. The lodgings and restaurants were lovely. Going onto ferries and across the border and back were easy events. Gail provided great suggestions when we had free time. The "government shut-down" began while we were traveling, and Gail assured us the home office was working on an alternate plan for our final day. We were all very happy with Plan B: instead of driving around in Acadia National Park all day, we enjoyed a delightful two hour morning harbor cruise to view the wildlife and see the luxurious summer cottages above the rocky granite shoreline of Acadia N.P., followed by a Bar Harbor city tour, and finished the day with a visit to a local museum. It was a great trip overall that covered miles but didn't exhaust us.
