We enjoyed our week learning how to make glass items. We were amazed at the end results and the number of items we took home with us. We would highly recommend this program. The group leader Jenny Monroe is a gem.

Amazing program! Learned so much about glass making and the Corning area. Made lots of beautiful glass items with the help of friendly and encouraging instructors in each class. Highly recommend this program!

Three areas of glass making are yours to explore at the Corning Museum of Glass. Jenny Watson, the CMOG facilitator is an incredible encyclopaedic knowledge of all things CMOG and also Corning, NY with its intriguing architecture downtown. Watson Homestead is a lovely lodge-like setting (bring your own hair products, hair dryer, and bar of soap). Great food, well-balanced program, 5-star instructors in ALL areas. Do not miss the new Contemporary Gallery = amazing. Just do It! You will have a ball ~ guaranteed! Might even go again . . . (Wonderful drive from near Toronto, Ontario, Canada). ~ Cate from Canada

This was a very satisfying trip for me. If you are interested in glass art, history or just bragging rights you will bring home some beautiful one of a kind glass projects. Beads-strange or stunning. glass cutting to make sun catchers, picture frames, ear rings, go wild. And the best for me glass blowing. melted liquid glass that super teachers help you to turn into art you won't want to part with. The Homestead is on a large quiet property. Clean, comfortable and welcoming.

This was a wonderful program where I learned a great deal. This fulfilled a lifelong dream and now I intend to continue working with glass in classes near my home. Go, you will have a great time and the food was super.

I made more glass objects, with great instructors than I had thought possible in four days! Great program!

Janet from Utica, PA Number of programs attended: 1
Date attended: 05/04/14 - 05/09/14
Such a fun and well organized program. We were like kids at summer camp ("Look at what I made.") The staff at the glass studio were most helpful and eager to make sure we had a chance to experience the allure of glassmaking. They guided us patiently through all the processes so we learned so much while being kept safe from the fiery furnaces. Watson Homestead is a peaceful and beautiful place to stay and the cooks made sure we were well and delightfully fed. The program director was always helpful, fun, cheerful, and also full of knowledge on a variety of topics. It was a lovely experience and even the husbands coerced to attend by their wives had a great time.
