The trip to Yellowstone was phenomenal, from the ride from the airport to the Park itself and back to the airport. I really learned a lot that I would never have been able to get on my own. Fantastic!!!

This was an inspiring experience. We saw and learned far more about Yellowstone and its unique geology, landscapes, weather, wildlife, plants, history, than we ever could have if we had traveled there alone. The key to this success was Leslie Stoltz, the lecturer and leader, and her amazing knowledge of Yellowstone. Tremendous value for the small cost of the program.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Yellowstone with Road Scholar. On our own we would not have seen or understood half of what we did at Yellowstone. We wouldn't have known the best time of day to be at certain areas, and we would have been put off by the crowds. The infinite variety of choices of things to do and see would have been overwhelming. It was great to let Road Scholar do the planning and just show up for the wonderful experience each day. We would do it again. In fact, we hope to bring our grandchildren on a Road Scholar adventure soon.

This was a newly designed Yellowstone program and it was well organized and well led. Our group of 28 spent 6 full days in YNP traveling by coach to all the major sites and hiking daily. The program focuses on YNP's geology, natural history, animal life and thermal features. The cabins were comfortable (all had showers), the program guide did a good job of accommodating a variety of skill levels and the food was terrific (okay, the sack lunches got monotonous). We saw bison, antelope, coyotes, elk, eagles, mountain goats and all kinds of thermal features including Old Faithful. If your bucket list includes spending a quiet day at an art museum, you will have to look elsewhere. But if you want to be 30 feet away from a one-ton buffalo, this is the one for you.

To really appreciate all that Yellowstone National Park has to offer, then going on a Road Scholar program is the way to go. "Yellowstone: From Colter's Hell to America's Hot Spot" gave insights into how the geology of Yellowstone determines the ecosystem of that fabulous place. It is an experience you will never forget!
