An excellent survey of many aspects of Yellowstone --travertine terraces, many geysers, Yellowstone Lake, the Yellowstone grand canyon, an abundance of bison, elk, deer, goats, and much more. Hiking every day, though rarely more than 3 miles in any one day. We had a wonderful instructor, a terrific organizer, and a most agreeable set of fellow travelers. Yellowstone is truly unique -- sometimes you feel you're not really on Planet Earth. I would highly recommend this program.

This is a most interesting and exciting program. Leslie Stoltz's knowledge, friendliness, and excitement about Yellowstone made this program a wonderful experience for us. Within the range of abilities of our group of 4, Leslie and Sue made sure all 4 were accommodated and challenged while still having a great time.

The Colter's Hell program at Yellowstone exceeded my expectations. Road scholar programs are designed to educate and Cathy, our leader was fantastic. She had the knowledge of a University professor as well as the experience of a park ranger. Additionally, her sense of humor enriched our experience. Moderately challenging and active most of the day was a good description of the activity level which included total hiking miles of closer to 5 than the 3 stated in the description. As long as you can handle 5 (not all at once) this program is for you. I would not want to see the length of the hikes reduced and participants who chose to hike less were still quite happy with the tour.

A good program. I learned a great deal and saw Yellowstone in detail. Just be ready to be active and able to hike and walk.

This was a great program. I had visited Yellowstone twice before on my own, but in this program, I learned and experienced so much more. We visited all the areas of Yellowstone, and walked/hiked to more remote areas that I had not seen before. Our instructor, Leslie Stoltz, was phenomenal with her enthusiasm and knowledge, and really brought this unique and interesting place to life ... how it came to be and what it is today. The program is listed as "moderately strenuous" and participants should be prepared to walk 5-6 miles/day, although accomodations were made for those who preferred to walk less.

The visit to Yellowstone National Park was phenomenal! Our tour guide, Leslie Stoltz shared with us her deep knowledge and love of the Park, and together with very pleasant fellow travelers, this program was a winner.

This trip was superb! Not only is Yellowstone amazing in every way, but Leslie is so knowledgeable it became interesting to see if she didn't know something! I would never have appreciated this place as I do now if I had gone on my own.

The trip to Yellowstone was phenomenal, from the ride from the airport to the Park itself and back to the airport. I really learned a lot that I would never have been able to get on my own. Fantastic!!!

This was an inspiring experience. We saw and learned far more about Yellowstone and its unique geology, landscapes, weather, wildlife, plants, history, than we ever could have if we had traveled there alone. The key to this success was Leslie Stoltz, the lecturer and leader, and her amazing knowledge of Yellowstone. Tremendous value for the small cost of the program.
