Road Scholar
Program #3215RJ
12 Days | 11 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

An outstanding experience that included both seeing the sites and true learning about them, with a staff as friendly, well-organized and companionable as one could wish. Eye opening, enjoyable, and all in all, a great trip!

Thousands of years of history, expert lecturers, excellent accommodations, good food, services of superb group leader Vivian, site coordinator Josette, and drivers Joe and Franz. Opportunities to wander through prehistoric temples, castles of knights, World War II command center, have dinner with local people and play bacci! A five-star program.

Vivian and Josetta and Joe our airport driver were all great. Malta has so much variety that the time we had there was too short. Wish RScholar would lengthen the trip. Mike if you read this please resend your email. I lost it.

A fascinating program with much variety, superb lecturers and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My historical perspective was widened and deepened.

It was a joy to view the evidence of the many layers of history from 5000 BC to the present day which were brought to life by a series of excellent speakers. The carvings from the earliest times were amazing and yet mysteriously contemporary. It was easy to imagine the ancient fortifications surrounding the magnificent harbor serving as sets for the many movies filmed there. The trip was well organized, our guide Vivian was outstanding, and because we stayed in one hotel we only had to unpack once. A great trip!!

Some of our friends had told us that Malta is only good for a three day visit. They were wrong. The ten days were full of differentand interesting places and visits.

An exceptional experience! Although I have traveled extensively, Malta, being at the crossroads of civilizations since 3600 BCE, has shaped a unique people and place. One can leave Malta, but Malta will never leave you.

A. Diana from North York, ON Number of programs attended: 28
Date attended: 10/19/13 - 10/30/13
Malta has been the centre of action since prehistoric times right through WW11. The guides and sites are well prepared with information and understanding. Malta speaks English and is safe. Prices are reasonable, weather is moderate, food is European. I recommend this trip.

Ronald from McMinnville, OR Number of programs attended: 3
Date attended: 10/19/13 - 10/30/13
An absolutely amazing exposure to prehistoric temples and burial sites and artwork that is not widely known about. A thrilling adventure!

Malta is a well kept secret. It has great history, most of which is not well known to most of us. The trip is well conducted, and the lectures are some of the best, out of 10 trips. The trip is out a single hotel and travel times were minimal, making the overall trip more restful that most
