10 Days | 9 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

My husband and I recently went on this tour and highly recommend it! It's a great opportunity to explore urban Seattle, the great Inland Sea, historical and beautiful Victoria, BC, and lovely San Juan, WA. The activities and lectures were excellent. -- R. Coleman, Massachusetts

A broad sweep of three fascinating places close to each other; big industrial seaport with high-tech, beautiful Canadian provincial capital, and a historic island in between in a marine environment with lots of natural history, "first nation" background, and the role of European settlers.

Just returned from Northwest Currents trip. Had the most wonderful time. Accomodiations were great in Seattle and Victoria along with the food. But the best part was my fellow travellers - what a wonderful group. Carole, Adele and Ian what great leaders you are. Thanks for the memories.

I have just returned home from my first Road Scholar trip. It was to Seattle, Victoria and San Juan Island for 10 days. I think it was the best value travel I could have had to the area as leaders, guides, hotels, meals and side trips were exceptional at a reasonable cost. I truly enjoyed the companionship of the leaders and fellow travelers -- we seemed to be in-sync as a group. The area is spectacular with the vigorous and gorgeous cities of Seattle and Victoria, the majestic beauty of Puget Sound and surrounding mountains and the pastoral beauty of the islands between Washington and Victoria.

I really enjoyed this fast paced trip. Seattle weather was perfect and there was no rain in Victoria, Vancouver Island, or San Juan Islands! Interesting educational content and glorious water and land views! Leaders were lots of fun and fellow travelers were a pleasure.
