Great class for a beginner, instructors are very helpful, the photo locations are fantastic, would like to see a class for advanced photographers doing a bus trip to include Bandon and Crater Lake.

The beauty of this area is absolutely breathtaking. The willingness of the three photographers to share their tips, techniques, and great humor and wit with all of us was a real treat. Their patience with each of us was commendable, and their ability to understand what level most of us were on, made the trip more enjoyable. They just wanted us to enjoy the beauty of Oregon and to appreciate how to take better pictures. I loved all of the beauty in nature that this trip encompassed. It was fun and interesting. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to meet three wonderful photographers and to meet new friends too. I recommend this trip to other "wanna be" better photographers and just passionate lovers of Oregon's natural beauty, as I am.

I now understand my camera's menu better, can move through it faster and take sharper pictures. Photographers were informative, supportive and fun! It was a GREAT trip and the beauty of Northern OR is beautiful. I will return!

NW Oregon provides a wide variety of photo opportunities--ocean, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and plenty of flowers. Be sure you note the "active" categorization of this trip. You will do a lot of walking!

If you've never visited Portland, don't wait. It is a wonderful city in a beautiful state. I intend to re-visit.

This was a terrific program with many opportunities to photograph varied subjects, to practice skills, and to learn better techniques. It was well-organized, and the leaders provided lots of suggestions to help all participants obtain great photos. They were eager to share their knowledge and were more than willing to give assistance. Wonderful learning experience; beautiful scenery; great program!

I took this photography program approximately six months ago and waited to write this review. Although I thought the program was excellent and should receive a 5 star rating, I wanted to wait and see if I would still be applying the skills I learned while taking the program. Here it is six months later and find I’m still applying those techniques while out shooting. Not only did I learn how to improve my photography, I also learned specifics for my particular camera. Ken Barker is an excellent organizer and leader. He provided a variety of photographic locations and experiences, fostered ideas and was very flexible with regards to the schedule. Ken also fostered group cohesion and camaraderie. Another wonderful aspect of the program was the variety of outside photographers to work with the participants and the one on one time with a professional provided to critique your photography. The accommodations were first-rate and meals both at the restaurants and on site were great. I highly recommend this program for anyone interested in improving their photographic skills. On second thought, it should receive six stars. Dave … Emerald Isle, NC
