Road Scholar's "Page to Stage" July 16-19 was quite interesting in several ways -- the plays were fabulous, with creative presentations and excellent acting. The town of Ashland is adorable, especially Lithia Park, Ashland Creek, and the many boutique shops. SOU campus accommodations were brand new and their food was varied and nutritious. Oregon Shakespeare Festival speakers were enthusiastic and revealed a lot about the program's history and collaborative approach, as well as their own backgrounds. Carol was a calm and organized leader who made everyone comfortable, and the participants were intelligent, interesting and friendly.

We have been to many Road Scholar programs, and finally got to Ashland. We did enjoy the program, well planned and with very interesting guest actors that had much to share after the plays, good leadership, great plays, and friendly fellow 'scholars'. We hope to come back.

My first experience with Road Scholar and it was delightful. Enjoyed the plays which I thought were very well done. Actors were well prepared and the classes presented were well thought out and comprehensive which added to the experience. I hope that I can return for another enjoyable experience. Joan Crice

Saw"The Great Society" and "The Tempest" Both were very well done. This first time visitor to Ashland will be returning.

I highly recommend this short but comprehensive program for first time participants at Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Here you will be immersed in education from Festival members, see a Shakespeare and a contemporary production, have your bed/board and sure to meet others along the way.

The Tempest, and meeting before and after with some of the actors in the production was a terrific experience. Shakespeare should be done this way, always !
