The Julia Child Voyage was an ideal vacation designed for those of us who wanted to navigate the streets and shops of Boston, the restaurants and galleys of the QM2, the e'cole de cuisine and the menus of Paris to find the best in French cuisine and the people who made it so. Merci, Brigitte and Road Scholar.

Le menú was delightful from "soup to cheese"---a veritable smorgasbord of sights, foods and experiences. Did I forget the vin? Our group leader, Brigitte Young, was charming and knowledgeable. Road Scholar agents were also very responsive and quick to address my concerns.

I loved the Julia Child Voyage, from the tour of the Italian section of Boston, to the Queen Mary 2, which exceeded my expectations and was much fun. On to Paris and different adventures, tasting in the market, fine dining. Also loved all the wonderful people on the tour, fun and compatible, and many thanks to Brigitte for keeping us all on track.

A wonderful trip, great food, great fun, great learning experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat if Brigitte was our Group Leader.

The trip was absolutely fabulous and far exceeded my expectations. RoadScholar should really consider keeping this trip in their offerings. Tour leader Brigitte was a gem and really shared her love for Paris with the group. Dinner venues were well selected and impressive - everybody should have a chance to dine at Le Train Blue! Would go on any trip lead by Brigitte and can fully recommend the Julia Child Voyage!

The program was (generally) well-planned and organized. For me the highlight was the panel discussion on Thursday (9/25/14) evening, which our tour leader (Bridgette Young) had to put together at the last minute (when the previously planned activity had to be cancelled). The cruise was pleasant, but other than Barbara Haber's talks, there was little to do on the ship in which we were interested. I personally thought that too little of the activity in France was directly enough connected to Julia Child; others may feel differently.

The Julia Child Journey was fabulous and far exceeded my expectations. I loved everything about it....the food, the wine, the site-seeing, the cooking demonstrations, the field trips! Our leader was lots of fun. I met some wonderful people.

Was on the Sept-Oct 2013 Julia Child-QM2 program. Have a few comments. Think that 3 days with Barbara Haber would be sufficient. Also, she began every morning at 0900, almost impossible to actually get a good breakfast. Lectures should begin no earlier than 1000, it is the QM2 and grabbing a bite in the cafeteria is not my idea of life aboard the QM2! When in Paris, the homes/kitchens were interesting, one trip to each would be enough. There was almost no free time, when we in Paris! This is Paris, some people would have enjoyed viewing more of it. The tour guide Brigitte Young was sensational! On top of every problem with a smile! Really made the trip worth it.

If you like to cook, love to eat, and admire Julia Child, THIS is the trip for you!

It wasn't Paris in springtime but probably better - little rain. The opportunities to be immersed in that rarified culinary air of Boston, Queen Mary II and Paris, oh la, la. The taste buds were stimulated and have yet to recover. Encore?

Impressed and satisfied with my Julia Child Excursion this past June. Our guide Brigitte and Barbara our lecturer were simply wonderful and made the trip all the better with their caring and knowledgeable presence. I found the Queen Mary 2 a little tired and in need of some updated entertainment but the service and concern of the staff was impeccable. The Boston and Paris trip portions were chock full of interesting activities but of course the BEST part of the trip was our wonderful group of 19 - I can't imagine the good times and hearty laughs I would have missed without their company! Thank you.

This Julia Child tour far exceeded my expectations and provided me with learning experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. Our Group Leader (Brigitte Young) is the consummate professional who ensured every aspect of our trip went smoothly. Any problems were resolved seemlessly and we felt fortunate to have Brigitte coordinating our experiences and being so concerned that we enjoyed our trip. We hope Road Scholar considers offering tours to other parts of France or England, using Brigitte as the Group Leader. She is outstanding and we considered ourselves fortunate to have met her.
