The Mobile Road Scholar program was well planned, well organized, and provided a variety of interesting experiences and speakers. The hotel was excellent, and very comfortable and convenient. Our tour guide was capable, friendly and we enjoyed her company tremendously.

This is a great way to learn about a city, it's background, culture, and development. My experience with Road Scholar is that I get an opportunity to see and do things that would not be available to see or do on my own. They provide opportunities to experience and learn that are first rate.

Mobile in the spring is a wonderful location. The hotel accommodations are great and located in the heart of the old city. Key landmarks in the city are just a few blocks from the hotel and easy walking distance. The program includes interesting and knowledgeable speakers. There's a good mix of architecture, culture, history, gardens, art and fun!

I want others to know that the hotel has been changed and WOW! did Road Scholar choose a fabulous place: The Renaissance Hotel with views either over Mobile River or downtown Mobile. This was a great program...I agree with Dorothy from Greenville.

Great program! Great field trips to the Bellingrath Gardens, a boat trip in Mobile port, bus and walking tours among others. Instructors were all knowledgeable and loved their subjects. The program was well organized and Donna Corff led us with joyful efficiency.

I would not recommend this program until there is a better hotel for participants. The hotel is in serious need of updating and renovating. The food is not good. Our farewell dinner consisted of soup and salad. This is hardly acceptable. Our group was too big--40 people. It could be a good program, but there are issues that need to be addressed before I can recommend it to other people. I was disappointed.

Road Scholar's response:
David, Thank you very much for your feedback. For dates in 2014, we have upgraded the accommodations, which will include better meals as well.
