A great opportunity to experience Austria, Germany & France as the local people do. We rode on chairlifts, toured cities & castles (even a castle in the woods), hiked through vineyards & down & around mountains, etc. Excellent local food, local inns & hotels, rode some local trains/buses, and visited a local farm & vineyard. Thanks to Christian for a true European experience.

If you like hiking in the countryside and getting away from the tourist areas this trip is for you. It's a fun way to see parts of Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and France that most Americans will not visit. The French guide, Christian, made every effort to make sure everyone was comfortable. He is a fantastic guide who spent long hours and did a lot of special things for our group. He even invited us into his home where we met his family, had cakes and wine, and were entertained by his children. It was a fun look into a typical French home. The accommodations were good and the food excellent. I loved walking through the vineyards and seeing the grape harvest. With longer stays at each hotel there was not a lot of packing up and moving which is nice. Do be aware that many meals are not covered and be prepared to pay for them in Euro or Swiss Franc depending on where you are. I saw a lot of storks in the Alsace area of France and that was exciting for me.

A wonderful experience exceeded my expectation, to visit and learn many beautiful places which I had heard of, met warm and kind new friends in the program. Most treasured was a group picnic arranged and prepared with care by the leader for us to enjoy the uniqueness of a beautiful village and a vineyard. What more can one expect for a memorable trip!

This program was a wonderful experience. It was a pleasure to spend the time with such wonderful people and especially with our extraordinary guide, Christian. Our naturalist guide Michael was also informative and entertaining. All of the local guides helped us to better understand where we were and what we were seeing. The physical activity was enjoyable although it forced me out of my comfort zone on occasion. All of this happened in such beautiful places. A great trip!!!
