We had a wonderful time on this trip. Our tour guide, Birget, was outstanding. We were amazed at how adept she was at navigating for us in spite of the Berlin Marathon and other sets of obstacles. We also appreciate her sensitivity to the needs of the group as well as the kindness of her assistant Shearer. We were glad to learn a great deal about classical music, attend magnificent orchestral and operatic performances, and about the ongoing progress of Germany after the reunification. We had enriching experiences that we would never have had except for Road Scholar.

Berlin hotel chosen is a total disaster and more free time should be added to this program, but otherwise it is a delightful learning and cultural experience led by a highly qualified and motivated guide and her able assistant.

If you like opera, symphonic music, and choral music this is a must Road Scholar trip. Birgit really knows these three cities and is a great teacher and leader. Shearer is a shepherdess of the group. You can't go wrong taking this trip. Dolores and Al Erlebacher

The best music in the world. Historic, cultural, political, scenic, informative program . Eastern Germany has become alive again, and it sparkles.

Virginia from Toorak Gardens, NA Number of programs attended: 2
Date attended: 04/16/15 - 04/28/15
A chance to hear great music in wonderful venues while also visiting 3 beautiful cities. There was enough free time to visit the outstanding museums in Berlin, and then relax a bit in Leipzig. A bonus was the excellent choice of restaurants and meals included.

Christa from Wilmington, DE Number of programs attended: 7

This trip was an excellent integration of history and music in Germany! Traveling companions were fun to be with and to share the experience with. Also, our tour guide was able to arrange very special programs and speakers, and it was an experience I feel so privileged to have had!

Mary from McLean, VA Number of programs attended: 8
Date attended: 09/12/14 - 09/24/14
An excellent program for enhancing knowledge and enjoyment of classical music. Guide provided informative background on both Germany, Nazi era, rebuilding and current economic/political issues. Flute and cello players from major orchestras enhanced my knowledge of classical music making me feel like an "insider".

Beverly S from New York, NY Number of programs attended: 6
Date attended: 04/30/14 - 05/12/14
A wonderful trip. The combination of hearing the music of the great composers and going about in their home towns gave a special impact to experiencing the music. Beverly Coheb
