ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Gorgeous scenery, showed and explained to us by knowledgeable, kind, humorous, guides. I learned a huge amount about the biology, geology, and culture of this part of Maine. Enjoyed using my body to explore woodlands, bogs, and waters of the coast. And was served the best breakfasts and dinners anyone could enjoy. Program was very well organized: enough but not too much. Guests (like wife of a lobsterman family and local musicians) were educational and entertaining. But throughout, our certified Maine Guides held it all together. Oh, and our fellow scholars were absolutely all wonderful to be with.

I have sent a review and have just talked with a RS person who confirmed it. Please let me know if you do not have the review because it was an excellent trip in all aspects and I want others to know that. Thank you Jackie Pietz

This trip was wonderful! The vistas along the hikes were beautiful, the physical demands just right, and the information provided by our guides was clear and helpful at all times. The food was incredibly good - all home-made items by a fantastic cook. The other people were friendly & easy to get along with. Plus the extra programs - with music on one night that was a delight & another night was a local person's discussion of lobster & a fisherman's life which was very interesting. I would recommend this trip unreservedly.

Nothing short of fantastic. Our Guides Tess & Steve treated us like family. We had the best, quality food imaginable. Oh, & then there is the Maine North coast. As beautiful as the books, only with fresh air.

I came away from this trip with a great appreciation for this part of the country. I now carry with me indelible memories of eagles, seals, whales, lobsters, lighthouses, scenic trails, super guides, a great B&B, and wonderful companions. Go if you can.
