See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This was my first Road Scholar trip, but it sure won't be my last. Everything was very well organized, a busy schedule was adhered to, and all travel colleagues were very welcoming and open. Terri and Les were both great, the weather was unbelievably perfect, the music was terrific, the historical sites wonderful to visit, the lectures informative without being boring; WOW!

I agree with the message from Beverly, the program was great and Terri and Les made it all happen. The Finnish background of the area was a highlight. Of course the perfect weather also helped a lot.

The Program was excellent--Terri was very organized & did a great job. Les who was w/us as a driver imparted a lot of information abt. the area. He was also a delight to have w/us.

Enjoy immersion into the sub culture of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, particularly the Finnish-American sub culture. This is not an urban culture; it is a hard scrabble culture. And we who do not live in the UP can learn about the attractiveness of living there and why people who migrate from there to the urban areas of Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, etc. always want to go home to the UP.
