A fabulous program. Hope we can come next year and bring our adult children who are now Seniors. The boys would eat it up

You cannot buy the sense of satisfaction received from doing this service program. Working on the Mighty Mo gave me a sense of "paying back" to the men and women who served in WWII. It was an extraordinary week.

Experience what it was like to be a member of the USS Missouri crew. Visit their living and work spaces. Feel that you are contributing to a national monument that is so important to our history and understanding of World War II.

This is an excellent program. I highly recommend it. The work projects are varied to suit the interests of the Road Scholar. They are as demanding as you wish to make them. And being a service program, where those who participate are doing so to give of themselves, there is a strong bonding within the group. The leadership is outstanding.

This was the 2nd time I volunteered on the battleship. This time I was there on Dec 7th and got to see the ceremony and all the veterans. I enjoyed working on the ship and met some nice people. Dick

If you do a program once and come back, you like it. If you do a program twice and come back, you love it.

This was our first experience with Road Scholar. We met some fascinating people and learned a great deal about The USS Missouri. The Staff was excellent and the talks were first rate. The barbecue on the dock with a gorgeous sunset was wonderful and spending the night on the Battleship was memorable. We have a renewed appreciation of the history of Pearl Harbor and World War II. We look forward to other Road Scholar trips.

Ruthanne from Portage, WI Number of programs attended: 1
Date attended: 01/29/15 - 02/05/15
One of the most incredible experiences of my life. Even though it is listed as moderately challenging, there are many jobs which can be done by someone with physical limitations. The most demanding part was climbing up/down ladders on the ship.

Julie from La Crosse, WI Number of programs attended: 5
Date attended: 01/29/14 - 02/05/14
It was exciting to help maintain such a precious piece of American history!
