The subtitle of this program is "A Festive Celebration", and that is an extremely accurate description. From interesting and informative lectures, to visits to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, the Cloisters, the Metropolitan Museum of Art (for the Neapolitan Nativity, Rockefeller Center (to see the Christmas tree), and 5th Avenue (to view the fantastic store windows), and attending outstanding productions of "The Messiah) and the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, everything were wonderful. If you have never been to NYC during the Christmas season, this would be a ideal to see the city in all of ots glory. Even if you have been several times before, this program provides new insights and experiences. The hotel is ideally situated, the variety of meals included give you a taste of many cultures, and the tour leader was both knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs and desires of the group. All in all, this is an outstanding program.

This program was outstanding: the speakers were knowledgeable and interesting, the tour guide shared helpful information as he led us from place to place, the major iconic sights of the city were seen, the accomodations and food were good and convenient. Learned a lot. An incredibly economical way to visit New York at a special time of year.

It's nice having a web site that I just referred my sister to. We were talking about a program in April . She contacted me while I was on this program saying she wants to go on the photography program. I just emailed where she could get more information. Nice

Being a "newbie" to Rode Scholar and to solo travel, I was very pleased with this first - but certainly, not last - Rode Scholar trip. Participants were all friendly and welcoming and I made several new friends. Our leaders -Karl, Angela, and Mim - were excellent, kind, and helpful to everyone. Mim took special care of a member of the group who experienced difficulty walking without making this person self conscious about it. The Empire State Building at night, the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City, Temple Eman-u-el, Little Italy and Chinatown, the informative lectures.......all were wonderful! This trip was well worth every penny of the cost! I am excited to participate in other Rode Scholar programs!

Fun trip. Last time I saw the Radio City Christmas show was when I was in High School. What fun! I had not been in the city for about 10 years and had forgotten how much I love the energy there. I was happy just being. People were great and one local gal is now invited to my Holiday Party. Let's go.
