This is a delightful program. Cooking was great and we cooked some really interesting dishes. You don't have to be a great cook to attend. Just be open to cooking all kinds of foods.

This was an exceptional trip to learn the essentials of seafood cooking with an expert chef and delightful teacher featuring lobster, scallops, oysters, etc, using new recipes. Add plenty of laughter. We also made great salads, vegetables and desserts! Fascinating local historians provided information on our daily local trips. Sailing the Ida C. Lore, we learned about tides, whirlpools, whales and ocean life. A visit to Campobello, St. Croix, West Quoddy Head - an interesting experience everyday. New friends, great class and delicious food; a complete variety of education combined to make a wonderful Maine vacation!

My husband and I wanted to see this part of Maine. In planning, we were not focused on the cooking part. However, this ended up being an excellent experience. There was a variety of activities during the day that left us totally enthralled with Down East Maine. The cooking classes ended up being so much fun. The instructors and guides made the time fly! It was wonderful.

My husband and I took this trip not knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised -- it was a wonderful week and we learned about a part of Maine with which we were not familiar. We also had a great time cooking -- he cooks a lot and I not so much but this week was enjoyable for both of us. The Chef and the Road Scholar Guide were both wonderful and fun to be with.

I highly recommend this.
