While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

A great program full of interesting speakers, activities, and food! So many favorites, it's hard to choose a few here, but some of mine are the "foodie" walking tour; the Japanese Gardens; speaker Barbara Roberts (former Oregon governor); and enough free time to enjoy an evening of jazz on our own. Our leader, Moira McCurry, made it all happen beautifully!

Just do this program. If you have ANY interest in the City of Roses, you will NOT be disappointed.

This program was full of interesting aspects. The lectures were interesting and professionally presented. The field trips were varied and diverse, although I found the activity level for some a bit much. The listening devices were brilliant. Restaurant choices provided for a variety of very good meals. Linda Wanless was exceptionally skilled, warm and generous. I think the program is more active than the rating suggests. I would like to see the programs offered at a lower activity level. There must be many people who do not choose this interesting itinerary because of that and miss out on an excellent program. I would prefer a hotel downtown for a better opportunity to explore the city. Highly recommend the program.

Mary from Wilmington, DE Number of programs attended: 10

I went to see the Japanese and Chinese gardens and fell in love with the transportation system, friendly helpful citizens, many parks, loads of public art, quirky shops, and outstanding dining experiences from food truck to 30 floors up in the Portland Grill. This Signature City 5 day tour provided all the highlights one could ask for and more!
