This was my test run of the Road Scholar program. It was a "make or break" test. I am now a believer. This program was fun, well run, great accommodations and wonderful program director. I agree with Jon, if you have an interest in the subject, you cannot go wrong with this program.

Berea is a lovely town to visit. Boone Tavern is a treat to stay in. The programs offered are correctly described and if you like what you see in the description you'll love your Berea experience!

Too many questions asking for very similar information. It could easily have achieved samne with 1/3 fewer questions.

April 21-25 We just finished this Road Scholar adventure & just loved it. Everything was well planned. We so enjoyed Berea College & the Inn there. These Texans have a new appreciation for Kentucky & their horses! Janelle from Ft. Worth, Texas

Our experience at Berea College and with our fellow Road Scholars could not have been better. Amanda was excellent and had thought through every detail so that all participants could sit back and enjoy the equine experience. I did not want it to end.

We have enjoyed and learned a great deal without exception from the twenty some Elderhostel/Exploritas/Road Scholar programs we have taken in the last ten years.

Delightful experience all around: lodging, food, entertainment, education, shopping, participants, weather, & scenery. Warning: bring your own adult beverages if so inclined as Berea is a dry town.

This was a great introduction to horse racing in the Lexington area of Kentucky's Bluegrass region. The backside of the track tour was very worthwhile, eating in the Track Kitchen with jockeys was interesting, seeing the breeding farm and viewing several champion stallions was memorable. Among other champions, we saw Super Saver (2010 Derby winner)! Boone Tavern was lovely and the meals and staff were above par. We returned to Berea both afternoons with about an hour left to browse the charming nearby shops; many nice things to see in Berea within a block of the hotel including the college campus. It's a lovely small college town. We enjoyed the afternoon at the track - the buffet in the Kentucky/Lexington Room was good, viewing all the races from a warm inside vantage point was great (it was a chilly, damp day), betting was fun and easy, and suggestions to visit the paddock area and to "feel the thunder at the rail" were followed. Be sure to check out the pricey hats in the Keeneland Gift Shop! We also enjoyed the talented bluegrass musical trio after dinner the second night. This was a short and fun program, and our group was extremely compatible. We plan on returning to beautiful Keeneland in the future and taking some friends with us.

Thank you for an interesting program. It will add to the enjoyment of watching the Derby on the "First Saturday in May".
