Wonderful leaders Heather and Chris. John and Wade were great additions!
Cabins were so much more than we expected...Fall Lake was 50' from our porch! Eagle parents over our heads with babies...so fun to watch them fish then feed the little ones. And a wolf pup running up our road while waiting for the van.....PRICELESS!
The hikes were beautiful, thanks Heather and John! We would still be in the BWCAW if not for Wade's abilities to read the maps and shore line, what a great sport he was to take 5 novices out.
Ely was beautiful in Feb. for dogsledding, but late summer for hiking and canoeing was very nice too.

This was my first Road Scholar trip and I enjoyed it very much. I hiked with a very nice group of people. The hikes were challenging but the views from the overlook were worth it. This was also my first time canoeing and I loved it. It was wonderful experiencing the wilderness from a canoe. I learned so much from our leader and guides about the area, wildflowers, and wildlife. The food was good, we had 2 choices for breakfast and 2 choices for dinner and sack lunches, plenty to fill you up for the day's activities. The cabins were simple but that's what I would expect from a trip in the wilderness. I love the northwoods, this was truly a wonderful trip. Hope you enjoy the photos.
