Program #13042RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

My wife and I enjoyed the programs, and the facilities were adequate enough. HOWEVER, the walls and holes in the ceiling for pipes, allowed next-door sounds to travel...considerably! Food was nourishing and delicious. Peter wasn't around except at meal time, but was there to introduce the speakers. The NewYear's "Party" was rather SOMBER. It would have been MUCH better if the evening meal was served in the theatre, followed immediately by dancing, and adjourning at 9pm (using New York Time for "midnight". The Institute could saved money AND have avoided having all those separately prepared snacks in the quantity they did (MUCH of which was left over!); and could simply have had some desserts and wine/champagne, that was part of the 'Dinner'.

Mary from Lincoln, CA Number of programs attended: 26
Date attended: 12/28/12 - 01/02/13
I thought this program was one of the best of the 28 programs I have attended. The instructors were all so interesting and I liked the impersonations of Jack London and John Steinbeck. This is truly a good way to learn. The food was wholesome but not too interesting. The sleeping arrangements were just fine with my partner and me. The room was small but cozy and warm. The days were beautiful and the field trips were great. Keep on doing what you are doing, you have a winner.

Corrie from San Mateo, CA Number of programs attended: 33
Date attended: 12/28/12 - 01/02/13
The program was terrific with outstanding instructors and tours, strongly recommended. The food was good and whole some but accommodations , unfortunately were really old student cells, we wish these were better. Corrie
