Lyn (Chicago) and David (Denver) enjoyed the Panama excursion and the deep level of learning about the canal and the canal zone history. The group was made of interesting and educated people yearning to learn more. That added greatly to the wonderful experience. We are Ticas and Tocos for Costa Rica. Beautiful country, beautiful birds, flowers and butterflies, beautiful hummingbirds and beautiful people. Food was exceptional, accommodations were very nice and the guides were excellent. Queirro, Glorianna, mucho gusto, mas y mas.

We have travelled with a number of travel groups over the years. But NEVER has a trip been so fully encompassing. We came home feeling that not only had we seen the areas, but we EXPERIENCED them. Visiting locals in their homes, sharing meals with locals, learning about their history, their failures, their success made us feel completely immersed in their lives and culture. We came home feeling very sorry for people who say they have travelled here or there, but have only checked into resort and not participated in the life of the area they say they "visited". Without a doubt, one of the best travel experiences of our entire lives. Thanks a big bunch to Road Scholar, we see the world differently today.

the trip was educational, and an intelligent energetic group of people. i would have liked one day to explore downtown panama city. in costa rica two of the hotels were not up to road scholar standard. we never saw the beaches and would have wanted to see them. the guides and lectures were ecellent

We just got back from the Panama Canal to Rainforest trip. It was a wonderful trip. Very interesting and educational. Our guides Wendall and Glorianna very knowledgeable and lots of fun. It was our first Road Scholar trip and already planning our next one. I would recommend anyone taking this trip to bring your own binoculars. They might be heavy but worth having your own. This was a great trip... the Canal is in process of being updated; rainforest continues to be threatened by climate change... go now!
