Digital Photography in Nature: Capturing the Best of Costa Rica. Program No. 15114 MBW 2/21/2014 to 3/3/2014. A must experience for those who want to see outstanding tropical ecology and capture the images with digital photography. The land is beautiful, the animals, especially the birds outstanding and the food and accommodations excellent. The 2 guides were outstanding (one overall leader and one photo-journaliist)that made the tour worthwhile and unforgetable. This trip is definitely a KEEPER. Sincerely, Alan B Rubin Oakton, VA, USA

This trip exceeded our expectations. Our first trip to Costa Rica was a delight.....it will not be our last. The organization and execution was superb. The photography instruction was tailored to individual needs and skill levels. The nature and cultural insights were high quality. I have recommended this trip to other serious photographers, whether or not their spouse has the same level of interest. He/she will not be disappointed.

If you want to learn about photography, capture some great pictures of wild life and see an enchanting place this is the program for you. Our guides were exceptional, professional and very knowledgeable in their fields of photography, culture, history and wildlife of Costa Rica. Monica, Christian and Omar, our driver, helped us all capture spectacular memories of our journey through this beautiful country. They are a great team and I will always be grateful to them.

I'll admit up front that my husband chose this program and I went along to take a few pictures, enjoy great scenery, meet some new people, and most of all, get away from winter weather. I had no specific intention of actually learning anything new about photography. Monica Quesada did not know this, and within minutes she slid under my invisible fence with explanations that made sense. By the end of the program, her gentle encouragement had me clicking away with confidence, using manual settings I'd never explored. I got some amazing shots of the diverse wildlife Erick Gusman spotted for us. My intentions of seeing great scenery and meeting great new people were more than fulfilled. I recommend this trip to anyone -- beginners will learn to fly, veteran photographers will pick up new tricks. I do suggest that if you aren't compulsive about getting each shot exactly right, you might want to take a book to read or paper to write on each day. At some point you are likely to spend a chunk of time hanging around waiting for more fastidious peers to finish their shots.

Small group of great people plus fine guides and amazing bus driver. We covered an amazing amount of ground in Costa Rica, a beautiful, friendly country. We saw more wildlife than I thought we would and got great help in our photography. The planning was superb and the lodging was perfect - as was the food. -Bob Evans, Palo Alto CA

What a fabulous experience. I attempted to upload a picture to no avail because, truly, in this case, a picture is worth a thousand words! This program was outstanding! I learned so much: about photography AND Costa Rica. Thank you Road Scholar and Yehudi, Erick, and Omar!!!

Wow, what a great program! We really got to dive deep into Costa Rica, led by guides with deep knowledge and reverence for this amazing place. The guides gave us a well thought out series of opportunities to learn new techniques for getting great pictures in a variety of situations, and they were always available with guidance, advice, encouragement, and great examples. I can't recommend this program enough if you love nature and want to learn how to bring it home in your camera!
