ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.

ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

It was our first time in Chicago and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. There is too much to see and do in four and a half days, so the second RS tour should be taken and we hope to do that. The architecture of structures is very interesting and exceeds that of most other cities we have seen. Two other impressive aspects of Chicago are the way the city has developed as planned by those with the Big Ideas; and the extensive park / lakefront / beach areas which have been preserved for everyone's use.

A great program with wonderful guides. I was not prepared to fall in love with Chicago, but wow!I did. Chicago is an exciting city and the program was designed to show as much as possible in a week's time. Starting with the Hotel, a centrally located beautiful hotel right on the Chicago River, we were wooed with the location the architecture and the food. I would highly recommend this program.

Would have had additional comments about the "state-of-the-art" listening devises but there was no space for that. The listening devises worked one day but not again.

"Chicago: Your Kind of Town" was a superb program in all aspects of touring and learning to understand and appreciate a great city in 5 days. The museums, the architecture, the history and the "feel" of the city were everything one could hope for.

Edward from Roseville, CA Number of programs attended: 2
Date attended: 09/04/11 - 09/09/11
The program consisted of a guided tour of Chicago's art, history, and architecture as well a visit to a number of museums. We made a stop at the Chicago Board of Trade Building where we saw the traders in action at opening bell, experienced an architectural cruse up and down the Chicago River, made a visit to the U of Chicago campus, had a tour of Obama's home neighborhood and of several other neighborhoods near downtown, dined at many nice restaurants, stopped for a night-time visit to the top of Hancock Building, got a tour of some parks and many other sites, and during one luncheon had a lecture on Chicago politics.

We met many nice folks, had a great time and were generally very pleased with the tour. Our guides were most accommodating and did a great job. I would recommend the Program as it is a great way to see Chicago, as the city has so much to offer with some unique skyscrapers, an active downtown area, great museums, and beautiful waterfront parks.

Paula from Pittsburgh, PA Number of programs attended: 5

I am glad I gave Road Scholar another chance. My last trip was terrible. I came early to see some things not included on this trip and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Chicago. Perhaps a baseball game might be included for those of us who want to go. I would have really liked that but there was just not enough time.
