Program #20800RJ
7 Days | 6 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderately Challenging
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This was an inspiring program. We had lots of meaningful work to do for a meaningful cause, good food and good fellowship. Eleven of the 15 participants were returnees. That says a lot! Many of us plan to return next year. The facilities are plush for a camp. Please disregard the comment from the prior year attendee who said they were spartan. One should not expected hotel-like accommodation at a youth camp. The setting is spectacular. Can't say enough good things. Join us next year for a life changing experience!

This facility leads to great camaraderie among the participants. The staff are great to work with. A real sense of accomplishment is achieved. 73% of the participants were returnees from the year before! 50% of the 2013 participants returned for 2014! Those 2 statements say a lot for this program.

What an excellent time we had volunteering a Camp Mak-a-Dream in Montana! My fellow participants were so friendly and fun to work with! I hope to see them all again there next year!

We had a wonderful time at Camp Mak A Dream! What a fantastic facility for cancer kids to enjoy a week of fun in a safe, environment. Sure it was a lot of work, but hey, did any of you lose weight!? Enjoyed meeting and working with everyone.

This was a LOT of work and accommodations were Spartan. Meals were passable but would have loved some low-calorie options!

Camp Mak-a-Dream is a STUNNING facility with a really worthwhile mission. Working there to make the camp ready for the season along with a group of RoadScholar volunteers was satisfying and really FUN.

This was our 3rd Road Scholar Service Trip & we had the best time! What a fun group! Everyone worked hard, yet enjoyed the camaraderie & made new friends. Most of us look forward to a "repeat" next year :)
