EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Overall, the program is very interesting. The most frustrating part about the mansions is that the older ones are kept dark inside, supposedly to protect the interiors and the art work, but the dim light makes it very hard to appreciate the detailed walls and ceilings. The Roosevelt estate and the Rockefeller estate were my favorites. The lecture on the "Robber Barons" was especially good. Know in advance that the Warwick Center is not a three or four star hotel; it is adequate but not luxurious.

Would not recommend this program. All activity was at least one hour from Inn. No maid service at Inn. Instructors were great. Overall, tedious.

Historic Mansions on the Hudson will take you to places whose architectural uniqueness will affect your experience of other structures and places you see. The effect provides an amazing kind of illumination and epiphany at unexpected sites and moments. The tour has been thoughtfully arranged to make this possible although no specific value judgements about style or aesthetic are ever made.

We were without heat in our rooms for the first two days. It was cold and there was but one blanket per bed. I feel that this is awful service and very inconsiderate. We were told that the heating system would come on if the OUTSIDE temperature went below 60 degrees. That is nonsense.

In general it felt that we were shown the mansions with reluctance. There were few rooms on view. I was disappointed at the Morse house because, although it is advertised as the Morse house, his influence was overwhelmed by the Young influence.

Tom, our speaker was very knowledgable but three 90 minute slde shows is too much.
