Aside from the mistake of imagining that I would be eating French food in Acadian Canada, I found the presentations of Acadian history and the geology of the Bay of Fundy fascinating, even though we picked this trip because of my husband's interest.

Marilynn from Midlothian, VA Number of programs attended: 3
Date attended: 06/29/14 - 07/05/14
This program is delightful. It is a diverse educational experience that gave me good insight into the history of the British and Acadian people who settled the Maritime Provinces. In addition, I learned about the natural history of the area - why the tides are so high in the Bay of Fundy and what is the impact of that on the lives of ordinary people. This program is led by two excellent guides who went out of their way to help us learn and enjoy ourselves. It is a fun experience - don't miss it! Mark from Midlothian, VA

Greatest fun, interesting people, new and exciting places to see and things to do. The weather can change and make for a more interesting experience. The staff are fantastic.

This was my first RS trip and I thought it was wonderful! The coordinator and naturist rate 11 stars on a scale of 1 to 10. I was impressed by the variety of activities. We learned history and science. We sampled regional foods and local music. We visited museums and went on nature walks. One disadvantage is living out of a suitcase for the week. Of course, that is a necessity given the two cultures, two sea shores theme. Each day was packed with multiple activities, which was perfect for me, but may be a bit much for those with more limited mobility or who desire a more leisurely pace. Highly recommended!
