The Down East Maine Intergenerational Program is a wonderful experience for all and we highly recommend it.

As first time kayakers, my grandson and I felt safe and well informed as we paddled the unspoiled Maine coastline. Hiking natural areas in the sun and rain and fog with a well informed naturalist gave us a new appreciation for all we look at every day. This is a trip for people who want to share their love of the outdoors with their grandchild.

We experienced this with one of our grandsons. I was in awe of the overall beauty of the area and the tides and the SEAFDOOD and Scott/Stephanie and the program. It is impressive in regards to the knowledge our guides possess. I was up at 4:30 am every morning and the morning light at that time is equivalent to 6:30 am light back home in eastern Nebraska. I could make this place my Home!

Overall, we enjoyed participating in the activities with our grandkids and the other program participants. It was a fun group, and we all enjoyed each other's company. However, I would say the facilities and meals were more "rustic" than I anticipated, and we didn't enjoy the long drives in a crowded van to get to the hiking and touring locations.
