This program is packed with wonderful activities and speakers. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to watch artists work and to ask them questions. This year's leader, Elena, was fantastic: knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. I learned more from her talks and comments than from anyone else. The only thing that I would eliminate is the evening talk by one of the former participants about his experiences at the Market; I was expecting to hear helpful hints about how to get the most out of the Market but it was more about his shopping experiences. Perhaps that time could be used to give more history and context for the various arts. i.e. what is each tribe's specialty and how it developed. I was happy to have the speaker on jewelry included and would hope that future talks would include some sort of demonstration. Also, a previous program included an Indian musician who sang as well as talked about drums, etc. I would recommend reinstating that component.

This is an excellent, well lead program for folks who are interested in Native American art at its best. You will meet artists although this is a very busy time for them. You will see the best examples of current work but also exampkles of the best of the past with a very knowledgeable leader from that world.
