Despite a few cold, rainy days and a hurricane that fortunately veered out to sea rather than into new england, this was a wonderful trip that will be remembered for a long time. It was made special because of the wonderful "down east" scenery of the Maritimes and northern Maine and the extraordinary attention to detail by our guide, Linda and driver, Joe. Road Scholar provided a very comfortable and educational itinerary that afforded all 19 of us great meals, comfortable lodging and opportunities to learn the history, culture and economics of this "less traveled" region of North America. My wife and I found the occasional hours of custom coach riding between towns and educational venues far less inconvenient than we anticipated because they provided us ample opportunity to get to know our fellow travelers better, catch up on our reading and occasional napping. We absolutely came away with fond memories and new acquaintances. We're eagerly looking forward to our next RS trip this coming February.

This is a trip where you learn about American History no one tells you about and you go to places you didn't know existed. The Canadian part really opens you eyes to their history and how it interconnects with ours.
