I had never been to either Michigan or Wisconsin; I left this trip with an excellent impression of both. I expected to enjoy Mackinac Island and the Chicago architectural tour. But lots of pleasant surprises for me, e.g. many attractions in Milwaukee worth a return visit; arts and crafts, good restaurants and an excellent book store in Traverse city made for fun evenings there; wineries; environmental programs; and the Packer stadium was fun even though I'm not a football fan. This trip had better hotels and better food than I've had on most R.S. trips. I recommend this trip.

We especially enjoyed the trip around Lake Michigan for its variety, beauty, excellence of local guides, accommodations, bus driver, and leader. The only undesirable aspect was the weather, but that can't be helped. Luckily, we were prepared for cold weather.
