Excellent brief program..go early and/or stay late to enjoy a walk around the cherry blossoms assuming they are peaking at the Tidal Basin..take a taxi since there is no Metro drop off Martin Luther King and find taxi back at the Jefferson. If you can not go early or stay late suggest going to the Tidal Basin instead of the rather amateur parade...bleacher seats,no backs facing the sun, portable toilets 3 blocks away.. Then meet group at lunch. Mary is an excellent guide and has everything very well organized.

This was our first Road Scholar program, and it was great! We enjoyed all of the presentations and especially appreciated our tour guide, Mary. She is very knowledgeable about the area and its history.
