This amazing tour takes you where the ordinary tourist does not have access. The facilitator, the guest presenters, and the bus driver are all incredibly accessible and knowledgeable, and there is almost nothing they would not do to make your experience unforgettable.

A beautiful site, a chance to learn something of the cliff dwellings and the people living there 800 years ago, and a fun day-tour to Durango to see the narrow-gauge steam railroad. A wonderful tour, and more so when the guide is Trina Lindig, who grew up in the National Park and was herself a law-enforcement ranger there, who knows the area and its attractions, and whose personal contacts became fine speakers to the tour. Five stars out of five, with Trina, six.

The journey into Mesa Verde, especially drinking in the vistas and plateaus beyond me at sunrise, turning darkness into beams of light, was worth more than my soul could contain. Honoring the peoples of the past, whose bedrooms and living rooms we boldly traversed upon, are safe kept by the National Park Service, for the peoples yet unborn.

I loved this program! The site was beautiful and our tour director Trina was outstanding!! Because there were no tv sets in our hotel and the location was remote, I felt removed from the world, perhaps on an island inhabited by friendly, interesting people, and inhabitants who were passionate about the site. I was sorry to have to leave to come home. I highly recommend this program to everyone.

This is an exceptional program. The fact that it was led by a former Mesa Verde park ranger added depth to the entire program. She brought in life-long friends and true experts to give the lectures which were excellent. Participants were interesting and individual needs were met with ease. I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

This was my first trip with Road Scholar so I didn't know what to expect. But I always wanted to see Mesa Vedre National Park, ride the train from Durango to Silverton and visit Southern Colorado. So I gave it a try. WOW what an experience...it was awesome..you must see to appreciate it all. There were many speakers who shared their passion, love and experiences of working and living around Mesa Vedre, which the coordinator,Trina, a passionate and lover of Mesa Vedre and the National Park system brought together to share the culture and history of the park, together to make the the true beauty and culture of Mesa Vedre National Park come alive. Thanks Trina!!

Visiting Mesa Verde was the fulfillment of a life-long dream. The leadership of Trina Lindig was outstanding. The stories of her growing up on Mesa Verde added an extra dimension to the factual information. Mike, our tour guide, and Cathy, the bus driver were also very personable and offered knowledgeable and personal stories of the Ancient Pueblo culture and of modern Native American life. Jerry Cohoe, a Native American artist shared both his work and his experiences of the Native American in the white world. Tom and I highly recommend this program. It is outstanding in every respect.

Just completed the Mesa Verde in Colorado. It was great in every respect. I returned refreshed and with new appreciation for that part of the world, its heritage, culture and importance. Very well organized by Trina and appreciated by all of us. Nice experience all around.

Janet and I thoroughly enjoyed our Mesa Verde Program. This was due in no small part to our coordinator, Trina Lindig. Besides her great skills with people, she provided speakers with terrific experience and knowledge to speak to us. For instance, our leader to the Spruce Tree House and mesa top ruins had many years experience as a ranger and pointed out many, many interesting things. On a free afternoon I took a tour of Balcony House that was led by a seasonal ranger, and I couldn't help but wonder how much better it would have been with the guide we had the previous day. Of course, we enjoyed the other participants in our program, as we always have in the past. Fritz from Boise, ID

I had a wonderful experience with the Road Scholar program to Mesa Verde National Park and the Durango and Silverton Railroad. Trina Lindig was an excellent leader, having grown up as a child in the park, and worked there for her career. The Ancestral Puebloan dwellings were amazing, and it was wonderful to learn so much about the history along with visiting them. I highly recommend this program.

We have been on two Road Scholar trips. We know that they are a great value, considering all meals, accommodations, lectures, field trips, etc. that are included. You could not experience more if you were to try these trips on your own. We also enjoyed meeting other people from all over the USA. Try it. You'll like it.

This program was fun, informative, well-organized. I cannot say enough good about our guide, Trina Lindig.
