Sizzling Southwest is a wonderful program, both filling and fulfilling! Through the excellent group leader we learned of some of Santa Fe's interesting history and enjoyed walking/dining around the city from our convieniently located hotel. We visited an organic farmers market, a private farm with a +100 year old history, and enjoyed lunch at the private home of a chef. Santa Fe and the surrounding area is beautiful. I enjoyed the Sizzling Southwest program so much that I attended the Savor Charleston's Culinary History program shortly thereafter. It too was fantastic. I'm sold on Road Scholar!

If you love New Mexico-style cuisine and want to learn how to prepare it in your kitchen, the Sizzling Southwest Road Scholar program is what you need. We sampled delicious dishes from some of the top restaurants in Santa Fe and learned how to prepare them from some of the best chefs. Add to this the informative lectures on southwest history and you come away with the full southwest food experience and at a great value.

Santa Fe cuisine is outstanding and this program and its leader did a wonderful job sharing the unique nature of this city and its food and culture.

I attended the cooking program in May and the weather was perfect. Kay was a exceptional leader and provided the group (12) with informative and interesting tidbits. The program was a nice balance between shopping, sight seeing and hands on cooking classes. They have added a food tasting tour of local restaurants, providing a great example of fusion food using the chile. If you are a lover of food (with no allergies) and love the southwest this trip is for you!
