Beautiful scenery and sunny, warm, dry weather. Minimal steady hiking – mostly long nature walks. Lots of driving time to trailheads. Excellent knowledgeable leaders who modified the program agenda to drive us to a location to view the moon eclipse. Wonderful accommodations and meals and interesting evening programs.

Jane from Reston, VA Enjoyed the hikes, the leaders and the participants. The hikes were varied and the evening programs were very informative. Beautiful area and no bugs to bother us!!!!! Other than one day of rain we lucked out with lots of sunshine. Alton Collins Retreat Center offered a variety of wonderful meals, mostly organic with lots ov accommodations for any special diet.

Maurica from Bridgeport, CA Number of programs attended: 18
Date attended: 09/21/14 - 09/27/14
Lovely hiking areas, excellent food and lodging, nice leaders, but if you are a serious hiker I suggest you skip this one because of the constant stop-and-talk, stop-and-talk nature of the hikes, filled with both chatter and information often covered again in the evenings.

Ingrid from Menlo Park, CA Number of programs attended: 1
Date attended: 09/21/14 - 09/27/14
If you like hiking in the wilderness, mountains and waterfalls and want to mingle with a bunch of nature lovers and two outstanding leaders, this is the trip for you!
