The best of Colorado's West: rivers, mountains, intergenerational adventure was the our 10th intergenerational program. Under the direction of Ryan Kirkpatrick and Julie Israelson, it was the best program we have ever been on. Jim and Jeanne O'Halloran of Des Moines, Iowa, June 2015.

The Best of Colorado's West Intergenerational Adventure is a "must do" for anyone who loves the outdoors, meeting and interacting with a small group of interesting adults and children, and days filled with fun and adventurous activities. The pace was great, the accommodations were convenient, and the program leaders (Ryan, Julie, and Marna) were outstanding. We loved sharing this week with our 10-year-old granddaughter and highly recommend this program.

Excellent program for grandparents to have fun with their grandkids, with plenty of opportunities for both children and adults to interact with their own age group. Good mix of challenging outdoor activities and compelling ways to interest kids in history and science. The days were packed with adventure and the week sped by. Highly recommended.

In the setting of clear, fresh mountain air, bright sunshine and the spectacular scenery of Steamboat Springs, nine lively and lucky youngsters came together with their equally fortunate grandparents to share a wonderful week filled with adventure. Under the very able guidance of Ryan, Julie and Marna the program ran smoothly, each day's experiences contributing to the overall success, with fun and bonding felt by the entire group. This was my 5 th intergenerational Roads Scholar program and I can truly say " the best"!

It can't be beat, ride a horse, raft on a river, swim in a natural hot spring, make and fly a hot air balloon. My wife and I and our two tween grandsons would have stayed forever. Jim McGovern

Absolutely a great experience !!!

Carol from Goodlettsville, TN Number of programs attended: 1
Date attended: 06/16/14 - 06/21/14
The activities were a perfect example of things to do on the mountains and rivers of Colorado. They were educational and fun for grandchildren and adults. It was a perfect week with our grandson. He said it was the best week ever. The small group, the journal for the children, and the leaders made everything come together for a wonderful experience.

David from Boulder, CO Number of programs attended: 17
Date attended: 06/16/14 - 06/21/14
This program is a golden opportunity for grandparents and grandchildren to bond, and also bond with other like individuals. The program is also an opportunity to move out of one's comfort zones into challenging activities that are both fun and educational. A gem among the Road Scholar offerings that is offered only twice per year (and should only be offered that frequently).
