What a wonderful program this was! Our leaders were very knowledgeable and personable. It was such a pleasure to be with them. Everything we did was enjoyable -- observing birds, learning about unusual plants, sampling frontier dishes served over a cookout fire, and much more. My husband, Gerry, and I have each attended over 220 Elderhostels, and we rate this an A+.

This program, rather hidden away in the hills of Kentucky, was an absolute delight for nature lovers--or would make a nature lover out of people who are not. The leaders were welcoming, exceptionally knowledgeable and interesting, and provided a range of experiences to keep you constantly interested. The peaceful, quiet location was very basic and quite relaxing. The support staff at the lodge and kitchen could not have been nicer or tried harder to see that you were cared for. All-in-all a great week and a great value.
