We had another great Rendezvous! This program is the best way to learn how to play the mountain dulcimer or to improve your skills because you will spend every morning in class with the same teacher, and get to experience the other teachers in the afternoon--the best teachers in the country. There is fun sharing of song and story, friends made around the dinner table, and peaceful surroundings. This is far from nowhere, so those with active health problems need to take that into consideration, as the nearest hospital would be about 40 minutes away. But the program itself is not physically strenuous. You can relax on the porch in a rocking chair, or take hikes on the trails during free time--or nap in your room--your choice.

For anyone wanting to learn the mountain dulcimer, this was an excellent program. There were teachers for every level (some students have been coming for 10 years). It is a quiet, lovely setting for learning and the people there are very welcoming. The price is also very attractive. The dulcimer is a relatively simple instrument and a great place to start if you ever wanted to develop some musical ability.

I had minimal dulcimer experience, and this program was perfect for me. The people in the group were very friendly and helpful; the instructors were positive and knowledgeable. I learned so much about playing the dulcimer and participating in a group. I am really looking forward to next year! There is something for everybody at any level.

The Mountain Dulcimer Rendevous is a great experience. The instruction and leadership are top-notch and the fellowship is wonderful. It's a great way to celebrate spring!

The program was wonderful and people were very friendly and easy to connect with. Walter and I were in the beginner class and learned a lot during the week.

From beginners to advanced players, everyone had a great learning experience--and it was also a lot of fun! They are very supportive of your efforts here and it's easy to get to know people when we spend time socializing after classes and at meals. I liked the tunes we worked on this week and will continue to improve on my own now that I've returned home. I am looking forward to attending in 2016!

Program was presented for those who wanted to apply their basic musical background to the dulcimer. Four levels of instruction accommodate the beginner to expert. All four can not escape benefit.

This was my first time to attend--but it won't be my last! I didn't expect to laugh so much all week! I felt welcomed and included by everyone, and their encouragement gave me confidence. Great instructors for all levels, delicious homestyle food, fun times with friendly people, and at the end of the day, a comfortable bed. I had a GREAT time!

Best opportunity for learning mountain dulcimer for the first timer, or to increase your skills if you already play, in a comfortable, no-stress setting. I have gone five years in a row and always find it fun, relaxing, and informative.

This retreat was fun, informative and in a beautiful setting. I wouldn't change a thing about it!
